No, Missouri will not have to honor your legal union from another state. There is an act that passed under the Clinton administration called the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). DOMA states that a state does not have to recognize the marriage from another state if that marriage is not already recognized... basically saying a state does not have to honor another state's gay marriage. Missouri currently had a Constitutional amendment that bans gay marriage and bans Missouri from recognizing gay marriages performed in another state. If you get married in Iowa you are only married in Iowa and the other states that recognize gay marriage.

no the only state that allows gay marriage is Massachusettes. Vermont, New Jersey and a handful of states in the northeast recognize domestic partnership which does not have the same benefits as marriage

Nope...I think currently the only state that allows same-sex marriage is Mass. however, New Jersey is now allowing civil unions
