My hubby and I are still debating about registering at two stores. We are registering at Target (we shop there all the time) and the prices are VERY reasonable. I am also thinking of registering at Babies R Us because the the furniture and other items seems to be cheaper and have a wider selection. Should we register at both? Confused mom to be!!!

Registering at more than one store is part of the fun, enjoy it! I actually registered at Pottery Barn for Kids which can be pricey but got a LOT of items from there- especially things i would have never bought myself because of the price. (I made sure to write very elaborate thank you cards though!!) While you will need diapers, wipes, etc. think about all the other things that you would LIKE to have- and register for those things. You might not get them but it's worth a shot. Besides, you'll be buying diapers, wipes, etc. on a regular basis after the baby is born. Before he/she is born, have fun and get the good stuff- things that make you happy; nice room decor, nice blankies, stuffed animals, diaper bags, etc.

Also, registering at more than one store doesn't mean that you expect all of it- it actually is nice because it gives everyone a wide variety of what that can get you. Some might want to do something quick at Target, others might have fun baby shopping at Babys R Us and other places. I was registered at BabysR Us, Pottery Barn and Target.

Some stores also have perks; Pottery Barn gives you a 10-15% (I can't remember exactly) discount after your baby shower on the items that you had registered for and didn't receive. Not bad!

Anywho- just have fun with it. Register for things you'd like, not always just what you need. You're a first time mom and it ought to get fun! :-) Congrats!

It's fine to register at both stores. Some people register at several stores. Just be careful as some stores have a policy that you have to buy what you registered for that other people didn't buy, but Target doesn't do that and I don't think Babies R Us does either. Your friends might actually like having more than one choice of stores to shop at.

You can register at as many stores as you want. Just make sure your friends and family know where you are registered though. That way if they don't shop at target, then can look to get you stuff at the other store that you registered at. goodluck and congrats

yes register at both..

Remember that some people think that Babies - R - Us is an expensive store.. that really isn't the case. and they have a store policy that if you find the same item at another store cheaper, they will match the price.

I registered at Target and Walmart. I think it is fine to register wherever you want. If one store doesn't have something you want then the other might. Go for it. And good luck

Assuming you are registering for up-coming baby showers, I would register at both stores. Especially if you have out-of-town guests or family. One store may not be close or even available in certain locations, so your loved ones will have another option.

We registered at 3 stores, Target, Wal Mart and Shopko. That way some of our family members from far away at least had one of those stores near by!

sure i think you should register at both, it gives people a choice. The only thing is you have to keep track to make sure you dont register for the same things at both places.

Sure... register at both. I registered at one store (Walmart) and I didn't get anything I registered for. Everyone jsut bought what they thought was cute.

Register anywhere and everywhere you want to register. You'll most likely get more gift cards than actual gifts at your shower. Those are great because you'll have to buy TONS and TONS of diapers, so they really come in handy.
