In the case of the USPS (we wear the blue uniforms) unless its an exceptional situation we attempt to deliver parcels once and will leave a peach colored slip if you're not home telling you of your options. In the case of Express mail (guaranteed overnight) a second attempt is made the next day. Call the PO using the number on the slip and the Letter Carrier can redeliver your item the next day. If its a signature required item make sure to sign the peach slip on the back and leave it in your mailbox.

no they usually don't deliver twice in one day, but what they do is try 2 more times to deliver and if your not there or no one is there to sign for it then you have to eathier call the # they left on the not home tag they leave you or go to your nearest USPS and pick up the package. But if that happens you will want to make hast because they only hold it for 2 days after the last atempt.

If USPS delivers on weekends, then obviously it includes a Saturday delivery too. Yet, just like the weekend deliveries, a USPS Saturday delivery can only be availed if you opt to use an upgraded mail service, and not the standard one.** Read complete information at the below link: **Does USPS Deliver On Saturday, Sunday Or Weekends? -

I've seen them leave a note on the door that Ups attempted to leave a package at 4pm, they'll try again the next day.

No, according to the best USPS mail carrier on the planet (my husband) he will leave you a notice (an orange slip) telling you to pick it up at the post office, if you want it delivered you can either fill out the slip and leave it for your carrier the next day or call the post office for a delivery time and date.

around here if you are not home to except the package they leave a paper from the post office saying they attempted to deliver package but you was not home , then they instruct you to go to the post office and pick it up cause they return it back after their route is done..

Can't think of why they would. Call the post office, you can sometimes ask for a specific time for delivery; otherwise, they'll simply try again tomorrow.

No..and even if you were home. The punks would just knock once and run like they're playing door tag or something. I have chased those brown suits enough to know.
