There are a whopping 6 million rivets in the Sydney Harbour Bridge or there abouts.
Wikipedia states there are 6 million rivets A rivet is a metal bolt or pin having a head on one end, inserted through aligned holes in the pieces to be joined and then hammered on the plain end so as to form a second head.
Some unofficial Harbour Bridge websites state there are "around 6 million steel rivets".
