My 26th birthday is next sunday and I want to have a good time with friends. Want to do something on Friday or Saturday evening. I live in LA and have no idea where to celebrate. I don't mind traveling to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Silverlake or Hollywood. Just want a really cool place with good music, good food, fun and not too expensive where I can invite my friends (between 10-20). Any suggestions??? Thanks :)

I have the perfect place for you and you friends to hang out this place is pretty new I just went there no to long ago and I was like WOW! It's called Royale... This place has 2 lounges with DJ spinning some pretty cool chill music, huge patio, bar and pool room aswell as a fancy French inspired Restaurant with a bar and lounge (this place is so awesome!). I can't say what it's like you just have to go and expirience it for yourself and I promise you wont be dissapointed.

In Silverlake..

The Edendale Grill (2838 Rowena Ave.) has a great bar (Mixville) It's a converted fire station...has great vibe, friendly bartenders who pour big drinks. The food is good. If you stick to the bar menu, it won't be as pricy as the restaurant menu next door. There's a nice back patio of the bar which can comfortably fit 10-20 people, with heat lamps.

Casito Del Campo (1920 Hyperion Ave.) is a gigantic mexican restaurant which has a nice private room next to the bar. You can get a table for 20 or so people and when dinner is over, your group can drift out into the bar. fun place!

Go to Howl at the Moon at Universal City Walk. The dualing piano bar is fun...especially when everyone's had a lot to drink and are singing tunes loudly :) I don't know if they have food but there are certainly a zillion places around there that have food.

Ditto for Dimples in Burbank (across from Warner Brothers Music). Great little dingy karaoke bar. Great place.

You could always take everyone over to Saddle Ranch on Sunset. That place is always packed, has good food and drinks, and you can always ride the mechanical bull!!! :-)

Happy birthday and have fun!

I would suggest Rio Bar & Grille. For 40 dollars a person, you get an authentic Brazlian meal (unlimited amount of food,) a samba and dance show, and the place turns into a club after 10PM. Not bad for $40 bucks. It's a lot of fun. You can find out about them on the web. They are located in Sherman Oaks.
