I'm rooting for the guy because I think he really helped raise baseball's popularity back in '98. Even if he did do steroids he wouldn't have been the only one.

Sosa is one of the nicest, friendliest guys out there, like Kirby Puckett. He was great for the game (all corked bat jokes aside). What he did behind closed doors to get his body like that and hit those homers, that's is a different story. He will not make a successful comeback, not only is he off the roids but he's old and slow. I'd love to see him make a Giambi-esque comeback, though!

I am sorry, but I just don't see it happening. Sosa will start out very rusty (if he even makes the roster). He will be called up from the minor leagues in the last month or two of the baseball season and make a big impact as a fourth outfielder and a contact hitter.

I see his chance at making a full comeback (.275, 80 RBI, 20 HR, .325 OBP) at 100-1 odds. He really will have to work his tail off to get to his old self. Steroids or not, I think those few years were more streaky than talented. My opinion only of course.

Why would you root for another steroid user? Why are you so willing to give a pass to a cheater? Where is your integrity?

My hope is that Sammy goes away forever. This black eye of baseball is a joke. He should have stayed retired. I hope he does not make the team.

I don't think so. His bat speed was super slowed in his last season with Baltimore. He won't last the season... He never was a smart player.

Even if you do, do drugs to cheat, that makes it ok right?

I don't think he will. His best years are behind him.

I hope not.

He doesn't deserve it.
