Well 'gaudy' in itself is an adjective... give me a minute here, I'll be right back.

OK, not sure if this meets all the criteria, but here goes:

The actor's costumes were very gaudy because of all the ugly colors in them.

Gaudy is usually something overdone. To showy, stands out too much.

Such as, "The woman wore a gaudy brooch."
