Try unpluging the Internet cable and then pluging it back in.
Check to with your internet provider to see if they are performing maintenance or if it is a problem on your end.
Check that all of the cables are plugged in.
Make sure the modem is working correctly (The cords are plugged in, the Power light is on etc.)
If it still doesn't work then contact your internet provider again see what they can do to help.

It is not your computer, you need to contact your Internet service provider. Now if you have a cable modem you can try shutting the computer down and unplug your cable modem from the electrical power source for about 5 min. and plug it back in and then cut your computer back on. I hope this helps.

There are different reasons possible. One is that you are on cable and the connection is not good right now. Same for DSL.
If you are on a telephone line, your modem may not be working.
If your computer works for other stuff, then call your internet provider and ask for tech support. They will walk you through fixing it.

hmmm. Try unplugging the internet and plugging it back in. Are you using wifi? This happens all the time on mine. Just unplug the router and the internet box. If you don't have wifi, unplug the internet box

We need more info. What type of internet connection do you have? Cable? DSL? dial-up? do you have an external modem? Any router or network hub?
