You can do 1 or both thank u i just need some help

1. You are sponcering a bake sale. You need to raise $350 how many pastries do you need to sell at $1.90 each in order to meet the goal? Write and solve an ineqality.

2. You babysit for $4 per hour and you tutor for $7 per hour. Becasue of school you can only work 12 hours per week. How many hours can you baby sit and tutor and still make at least make $50 per week? Write a system of inequalities for the situation.

The hardest part about these questions is translating all the rubbish into equations:

1) 350 = 1.9x will give you the number of pastries (x) that you need to sell to make 350

2) 50 = 4x + 7y (where x is hours babysitting and y is hours tutoring. NB the coeffecients are how much you get paid. however, for this, you need a second equation, because you have two unknowns. this is given by the total time you can work:)
12 = x + y
these need to be solved simultaneously to find values for x and y.

Hope this helps!

Ok I've been out of highschool for a while now, but I'm bored at work, I don't think this is an inequality but to figure the first one out I would say:

x(1.90)=350

divide both sides by 1.90

which leaves you with

x=184.21

you need to write the question in math terms...for example for number 1. X (how many) times(at) 1.90 =(to get) 350.00
which becomes 1.90x=350 divide 350 be 1.90 to isolate your x and you have your answer.

1. 1.90X>or equal to 350.
2. 4B+7T>or equal to 50.
B+T For #1, just solve like a normal algebra problem, but in the end, write X is greater than or equal to that number.
For #2, use linear substitution or combination and solve. Do you have a textbook? You should refer to that.
