i use avg free anti virus and i want to know if i should let all the avg things be able to go online.Same thing with windows defender. thanks

Definitely. They need to be able to go online to download all the updates. Put a checkmark in a box that said never ask again and you're done. Just remember that ZoneAlarm will ask you the same question again if window defender or avg download and install a newer version of their apps.

Yeah you should, otherwise AVG and Windows Defender won't be able to update their definitions, which should be kept up to date all the time.
Don't forget, Zone Alarm is still in what's called "learning mode", and eventually it will remember the permissions you give it for certain programs to access the Internet.

Yes, allow them to go online to get updates. Any anti-virus or program like defender would be useless if they did not get updates.
