I trusted my friend with my crush and she went and told the two most obnoxious boys in my class! She has lied to me before as well. She is very popular. I feel that because she has so many friends she thinks that I do not matter. Can I trust her again?

Shes very nice and seems to like me(to my face) but I have seen her do it to other girls. First she acts like she likes them, then she goes and talks about them behind their back, and then tries to cover it up. Now that she has a boyfriend things have gotten worse. HELP

Girl, if she has done it to u before shame on u!!! Every one deserves a second chance, but ur so called friend messed up hers!!! Kick her to the curb and treat her as only an associate, only special people can be called friends!!! Remember that!

Well popular or not she just misused with your trust. I suggest you to be cautious with her from now on. Do not share secrets with her. Distant a bit yourself from her. If she cares, she will come to you and ask what is wrong, then you may ask her for explanation, why she told that to these guys, if she doesn't care then let her be, just do not share stuff with her. Smile politely, say hi, bye and just a general talk that actually tells nothing important. I am sure you can find a lot of other friends that you can trust. And one thing I disagree with some answers, the fact she is popular doesn't mean she is supposed to backstab. I use to be a friend with a popular girl too but she keeps my secrets and she is loyal, she is just popular because she is a powerful personality. But the case with your friend might be different, maybe she is famous in school cus she is a gossiper. Just be careful what you are telling her, but one day if there is something you wanna everyone to learn, just pretend to her it is a secret and later have fun :P

Honestly, I don't think you should trust her again, that is awful for her to do that to you. Just because she has other freinds she is going to ignore you and pretend you don't matter. Well you do matter. So move on you sound like a cool person I am sure you can get any friend you want.

Tough question, Rita & I think it depends on the person betrayed as well as the betrayer. Some people seem never able to forgive & forget. I myself think it is possible to trust again, but it takes a long time & the ability of the person at fault to show sincere regret & wanting to be forgiven. It is possible, yes, but hard.

And a rural friend and you can talk to and trashed and don't worry about the artificial people and in the boys my like you and now they know you like them so she might have helped you if not do not worry about it.

but why trust someone who will hurt u & already has. confront her with your feelings, it may change her or just make her realise later in life.
