Or is it just a sad attempt to get recognized by people you will never meet?

Though I would rather be recognized by the person that asked the question, when it's is put up for a vote, if one vote turns the tide, so be it.

Keep in mind that it's not MY question only my answer.

I'll be honest. If I didn't vote for my own answers I would probably be breakin in to level 3 right now (IF I WAS STILL LOGGING IN). If my answer was incorrect, (not sure why I would give an answer that I though was wrong, but there you go) or if someone else's answer was more insight full, I would not vote for my own.

You've got a best answer rate of 31%! I think you know the answer to this one! ;-) I vote for myself all the time. You get an additional point for the vote and 10 for the win. Not to mention I love having the most thumbs down answer come out as top pick.

If you vote for your own answer, then you had no need for the question in the first place.

I don't understand this voting thing. i can see where you can check if you think an answer was good or bad but i don't understnd how you could pick your own.

If you run for elective office, you are sure allowed to vote for yourself, right?

I think it is only fair that you can vote for yourself here as well.

If you think your answer is better then all the others then why not. It's a tad egocentric but who cares, right?
