Why do you think frozen rocks? the back of the moon is only the back of the moon from our perspective. It gets as much sun as the side we see, which is obvious if you think of the phases of the moon, which amounts to how much sunlight is on various faces of the moon.

Also, because the moon has no air, the rocks are baking hot in sunlight and cold as frozen nitrogen when not in the sun.

The back side of the moon is more like the lighter parts of the front side of the moon. There are no large maria ("seas"), but there are large basins that are not filled with dark material (but none as large as the large dark areas on the earth-facing side). The largest craters are on the back side of the moon.

The largest basin on the moon (called the Aitken Basin, I think) is in the south polar region, but mostly on the back side of the moon. It is not very distinct, certainly nothing like the Oriental Basin (curiously enough, on the western limb) which was photographed in detail by one of the Lunar Orbiter spacecraft of the middle and late 1960's.

If the moon always faces the earth, then it rotates once every 28 days to the sun so it has 28 day days. Also I think it is inclined like the earth is, so has seasons. The back would be the same as the front.

you mean the side of the moon not facing the earth? if so then it looks pretty much the same as the side we see, except that on this side of the moon we see the mares (seas) those large dark areas. the far side only has one small mare, the rest is just craters.

There is no dark side of the moon. As a matter of fact it's all dark.
