My son has been in the basketball B team {worst then A} and two people have broke their ankles in the A team and he has been called apoun to play for them! they have a big game on Sunday and I need some help preparing him. How should prepare?

Take his mind of the game, if he is nervous it will most likely screw him up. Get him mad/ physced up about the game. If he plays with agression he will play much better. Make sure he gets alot of sleep and eats a good dinner (day b4 the game) and breakfast. Keep him hydrated etc. If he is a guard help him stretch an hour before the game and let him practice dribbling. If he is a shooting guard, take him to a park and feed him to ball to shoot. If he is a center let him practice posting up etc. Go over the team's strategy with him as well. Just help him relax!

You should run drills with him before the game, have him practice. Also have him eat a good breakfast lot's of protein and carbs, be sure to drink plenty of water.

i agree with the first response....run some drills before the game.
is it a home game?....personally i always found that getting to the gym long before the game, and warming up, allowed me psychologically relax and get comfortable before a big game. having only a short while to warm up kept me from loosening up, and shake those jitters.

Do the music thing and get pumped and eat a really healthy breakfast and drink lots of water.
