I have got extremely pale skin, every foundation or concealer I've tried is too dark. I have read the answers for some of the other questions about make-up for pale skin, these products were no good either. I am fed up with using an unatural colour or mixing all my foundations and concealers with pure white foundation from the goth/fancy dress shop. I also have oily skin and need good coverage, another thing is my budget is pretty low. But PLEASE see if you can help me!

thanks, Lorelli x

I have also tried mixing with moisturiser and using a one that adapts to your skin but they don't give enough coverage

I have the same problem. If a foundation is too dark I tend to mix it with a moisturiser, that way there is less going on and it looks better. Have you tried maybelline's dream matte mouse? the ivory one is very pale and it goes on really well

I also have the same problem, most high street brands are far to dark for my skin. I have found the best brands with the widest range of shades to be Mac and Laura Mercier. Laura does a porcelain shade that's very pale but it's not that easy to get in the UK and is about 30 pounds. Mac is under 20 and has hundreds of shades and types, including wet/dry and oil free. Worth a go i reckon. On the high street I think No 7 has quite a pale one, and it's worth looking at M&S range. Also, think about whether you really need foundation at all. Sometimes a light refecting concealer (touche eclat, body shop, no 7) and some translucent powder would be enough to stop you looking blemished but prevent you looking like a goth or an elizabethan. Good luck

I too have really pale skin and it is slightly oily and the foundation I ahve found best is the matt mousse No. 7 one as it is pale and also gives good coverage. In the summer I use their matt make-up base and then a sheerer foundation. I'm often forced to sue the more expensive foundations such as Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown. However I have also Estee Lauder in Beech in their Individualist foundation which is quite good and is lighter than it looks in the bottle.

Hope this helps.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation NC20 15g/0.52 oz is quite bizarre indeed. I'm actually on the M.A.C. and Amazon sites simultaneously, and the Studio Fix and Studio Tech BOTH have the dual compartments....and they have for years and from 2004 from what I personally remember. Not sure whats going on here, and I can't speak for what some may have specifically received, but to state they are fake because of the packaging just isn't accurate!

Have you tried Rimmel Cool Matte 16H, in Ivory? I found that to be good. Also Maybelline do a pale one, I think that is also called Ivory. Others I have used in the past are the palest shade of Boujois and Max Factor.

Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and gives a lovely natural look to your skin. You can apply more if you need to. It comes in really pale colours and is not orangey. It makes your skin look really good!

I have extremely pale skin too, but I use regular brand stuff and just make sure to blend it in very well all over my skin to make sure it doesn't look off.

I use sephora brand, but target has a broad selection too.

try loreal perfect match...im really pale, paler than my pale ghostly ginger friends, and i use loreal perfect match foundation and powder in rose ivory which is one of the palest they do. its for very plae skin with a warm tone, they do another very pale one for pale skin with a cool tone, ivory something...but i found this made me look yellow. all the others ive tried still made me look orange, even if they were meant for pale skin

Try going to a makeup counter like Prescriptives or Merle Norman and have them find a color for you. It may cost a little more but their makeup is much better for your skin than what you can buy at the grocery store.
