I left a rose on my wife's car windshield every night for four months from the first night that we met until she finally accepted my proposal for marriage. She got up every morning to go to work and was greeted by a rose. I had her for sixteen years before losing her to cancer. She nicknamed me her "Rose Bandit" (Try finding a fresh rose to buy at 3AM every day!!!)

I am not, but my husband most definitely is. I'm the kind of person who, when I see two people kissing on tv, goes "Did they brush their teeth?!".

One of the most romantic things my husband did, though, was build me a table. We had just moved to a new state and the temperature in the summer was around 105 degrees F on average. I was weird about using the a/c all the time, so I had mentioned that it might be cooler to sit on the floor Japanese-style and eat, but no one makes a table that low. So my husband said, "Well, how high would it have to be?" and we measured the various coffee tables and came up with the right height.

For a week, I wasn't allowed in the garage (not that I would have gone into the testosterone den anyway) and then he asked me what kind of stain I wanted on the table. "What table?" I asked. So he showed me this table he had built, 4 feet by 4 feet square, and exactly 14 inches off the ground, and so sturdy he could jump on it without breaking it. And he had built it in the heat of summer and everything.

Now THAT's romance.

I like to consider myself romantic. I always imagine walking on the beach with him, looking at the sunset then watching the stars with him. I've never done anything but being romantic is natural and spontaneous.

I know I'm more romantic than my hub is. First of, our choice in music. I like time alone rather than always be surronded by people. We haven't gone throught with it but I want to dance under the stars along the beach with him

I once cooked a shrimp alfredo along with white wine & roses, it was romantic for me because the lady I was seeing at that time wasn't expecting it.

I made my husband a homemade chicken potpie and cut little hearts in it for our first (very broke) Valentines Day as a married couple. He loved it and I thought it was cute!
