On IM. If you send a message while someone is away. And you come back on later and they still have got that me

If you send a message while someone is away on AIM. And you come back on later and they still have got that message and you click to close that box. Do they still get that message anyway when they do return to their computer, or does clicking x on the the box delete that messge?

if u delete the field from ur show screen the guy ur IMing nevertheless gets the messsage. And if u open a sparkling window to a similar guy or woman on the different persons show screen its on a similar window
