You can answer a form with different things..eg. your citizenship may be British because you hold a British Passport , However your nationality can be English etc..as that relates to the country to which you were born. I am English first then a British citzen.

Yes mate! I'm definately British but I have to say that, were someone to come up to me and ask which country I came from, England would be my first answer.
Still, the sovereign nation I live in IS the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not England, and I'm ruled by a Bitish Parliment, not an English one, etc, so I have no qualms identifying myself as British, because I am.

Yes I'm British, born in England, and no i could not care less, we are still the UK, but so what what good is it doing us right now? people worry to much about where they are from, why not all just get on together, never mind what part of the world, or colour of skin, or what faith, just get with each other

There's nothing wrong with saying we're British. It's like someone from France saying they are European.

I have roots that are English, Irish and Scottish. I hate having to generalize my heritage, because it's diverse (my UK roots are only a bit of my heritage). I don't know what's happened about answering forms...it's ridiculous if you ask me!

Yes i'm British and i do write 'English' on forms, if there isn't a choice, i tick the UK, then bracket 'English'...I don't get peed off with having to do this, it's no big deal, one sec and it's done.
