To take Dwayne Jarrett with the 7th pick would be a waste of the pick. Jarrett is not even ranked in the top 20 picks and its even doubtful that he will be picked in the first round. There are only 2 WRs that stand out in this draft that will be picked in the top 10. The first is Calvin Johnson from Georgia Tech, who most likely will be picked by the Bucs with the 4th choice. The other is Ted Ginn of Ohio State. He most likely will be the target of the Vikings since his super speed will help their offense which was very low on fire power. If for some reason Ginn is already gone, The Vikes will probably go after WR Dwayne Bowe of LSU who is a good 3rd down target and red zone threat. All three of these receivers are rated much higher than Jarrett.

They have one of two options.
In the wide reciever pool, I like Ted Ginn Jr. to be picked here over Dwayne Jarrett. Ginn has world-class speed and is a return threat. While Jarrett may have a slight advantage in the hands department, he does not have the explosivness needed to make the huge play. Also, with Dwayne's 6'5'' 210 lbs frame, he should be pounding DB's at the line, which he is not doing.
The Vikings could also go in another direction and select defensive end Gaines Adams from Clemson. Adams has very good speed and an explosive first step. Some scouts say he has the ability to play outside linebacker in an NFL 3-4 defense.
Overall, I would say it is a toss up between Ted Ginn Jr. and Gaines Adams

I think it should be a WR, however I am supportive of the rumor of trading the pick (+something else) for Larry Fitzgerald. He's already proven himself and has great hands --something we desparately need.
For potential draftees, it will probably be Dwayne Bowe or Ted Ginn as Jarrett's stock is dropping do to issues with speed and attitude. I'd want Bowe>Ginn because Ginn's really just got speed going for him, since he's not that tall or big and only really had sucess on fly/streak routes. MN needs someone who can run routes and hold onto the ball.....I don't know why so many "experts" are putting Ginn in 7th in their mock drafts.
Ideally though I'd hope that picks 1-6 pass on Calvin Johnson. (Only OAK and TB really have a strong chance of taking him --and only TB really needs a WR ---Al Davis just doens't like taking QBs 1st (Though after loosing Brooks, it's either a QB or one in the FA) ---TB needs other things pretty bad too though so there's still a possiblity CJ will fall to 7th)
