I am writing a research paper about what I can do in my career field after I graduate college. Obviously, I can be a German teacher and I suppose I can be a translator, but what else can I be? Do you know where I can find credible information about what exactly a teacher does(more importantly what a German teacher does) and what exactly do they have to do to become a teacher?I'm going to have an interview with my German teacher soon, but I need more sources than that. Where can I find more information?

I think that the answer is relatively simple and I do not know that you will be able to find a lot of information.

You do need to obtain a license; you may want to check your states department of education website so that you can include specific information about that. Teachers are now required to get a masters degree so that is also something that you can include.

With a masters degree you can also teach at the university level. There is always the possibility of tutoring or interpreting (which is not quite the same as translating).

Also, with a degree you can work just about any job. I once interviewed for a position working in an office. They would have needed me to take calls in Spanish and to translate any documents that came in. You could work for any company that deals with Germany and needs a German speaker. I turned down the job because I wanted to complete school, but they do exist.
