I think it's sick the way they pray on people's vulnerabilities.
Credit / loans are NOT the way out, it's the way to make it worse. It's terrible these adverts are aired on childrens television channels as they know it's Mum and Dad etc who'll be watching.....

The regulator should insist on sharks in the background or the Jaws theme playing through them

Ah yes, I don't know y they put them on cause It makes me think 'hang on I don't want to see that add again and what I'm watching is not that important' so I switch over or do something else. Do you reckon it could be a undercover thing to stop us lazy peeps from watching too much tv and that we get irritated from seeing the adds so we switch off and do something constructive- if it is i'm not complaining cus it works fine with me!

I had a call today from a loan guy at my dads place and he asked for my dad and I pretended to be my dad otherwise the guy would keep calling back. So he goes he's from a loan company and wants to ask me q's to see if they can help- I found it hilarious. Anyway he asked stuff like

are u employed- yes.
do have debts?-yes
does it stress you out or have a bad impact on your life and work? - No actualy!
do they amount to 15000 or more- no try £15 and there abouts.
Oh well I'm sorry it seems we won't be able to help you, your circumstances show your not elgible for any of our services.
i thought 'oh thats a shame!' n said 'anyway thanx for calling.'
l I love these calls and just winding them up! although I feel for the operator cause I been there done that, The company deserves it but its bad as the operator dnt get their bonuses with peeps like me!

The worse ones are the ones that say that they will give you a loan if you have a mortgage or own a property outright - what they are really saying is that they will give you a load of cash but miss payments and your house is ours - while they charge a horrendous amount of interest - then they sit and rub their hands at the thought of gettin your house if you cant keep up the repayments - or the car loan and mortgage places that say yes when no others will

5 years after my divorce i decided i had to get my self a more reliable car which i bought through welcome car finance (bad credit score while married meant hard for me to get credit) for £4900 and by the time i am finished paying it back i will have paid just under £11,000 - my fault i know but companies like that prey on people who have had problems in the past but who are trying to sort themselves out

Yes i agree, why should people like Carol Vorderman who probably does not have money worries of her own , advertise loans that could put people in more hardship than they are, i have debt a large debt for the inland rev for bloody tax credits and i would never think of going to the debt consolidation people as it takes years and extortionate rates to pay, I'm lucky i have equity in other things(even thought I'm a single parent) as i have tried to provide the best i can in life so i have been made to release some of that, which has made money tight for now on But no all of us are lucky like that.Personally they should take them off the air

are you stressed by debt are you not sleeping at night have you got lots of money worries if so all you have to do is turn on your TV and you will find loads of adverts and phone numbers on every channel to clear all your debts and put you back into the same situation. Oh yes i agree it is sick and it should even be banned and on children's channels as well will have to speak to watchdog about this i mean you advertise toy on a kids channel not money and to give them ideas.

They annoy me because you can really tell that the company who has created them is a load of rubbish. and a complete fake.
The actors who are trying not to be are sooo rubbish it just makes me laugh when they come on. Now i get that sick of them a reach for my remote and click the mute button. Most of the time they are shown on ITV the one that annoys me is when that women and man are on the phone and they make stupid looks at the fone and cheer. Another advert I cant stand is picture. Because of how him/her asks for a confirmation from their partner for how much they wont to loan....well to be honest I dont think you'd call without being definatley certain waht you wanted.

I feel sorry but angry at those people who ring up and join or whatever...its just total rubbish. I can really understand why you asked this. And I for one do get fed up with them.

I agree with you also as it makes it look too easy and it gives the wrong message to children I was brought up that if cannot afford it you don't have it. It is so sad now that most people use so much credit to get things and then end up in debt.

The government is forever going on about people in debt and bankcrupt in this country, but they don't stop these adverts on tv. Then when people can't pay it back they end up in court, paying more back in the long run.

sign of the times people living on credit. Televison is getting tacky and cheap which is why these loan companies advertise on ITV2 ITV3 etc cause there advertising rates are cheap due to the high number of channels available to advertise on and its cheap to do.

Im sick of these adverts myself.

Yes i do but not as much as the loan offers that drop through my letterbox at least twice a week, it's no wonder people end up in debt.
