Why don't Republican Conservatives have enough character to admit THEY are responsible for failure in Iraq

The con-reps had a Republican president and control of Congress for six years. They had control of how America was to deal with foreign policy. The president said there were WMDs in Iraq, so we invaded. No WMDs. After nearly four years we still haven't brought Iraq under control. How do the con-reps deal with it ?
1.By saying that we wil win in Iraq despite evidence to the contrary.
2. By saying the reason we haven't won yet is because of liberal democrats.
According to con-reps it's not THEIR fault. Why are con-reps so lacking in the courage necessary to admit they are the one's primarily responsible for Iraq. And who in their right mind would respect anything they would have to say ?

We failed? Sorry I missed the memo. Last I heard, not from the liberal media of course, our men and women in boots actually over there are quite confident the're winning and can.
As for wmd, the liberal media neglected to mention some things. Nerve gas is wmd, and was found. Oh yes, dare they not mention the truckloads that crossed the border into Syria before the invasion. "not to mantion" the paperwork showing an active program. The liberals don't want people to talk about these things, of course not. It blows their objective, Lose the war. What do you mean? They are the party of morals, surely they have enough integrity to admit when they are wrong and they aren't wrong. These things take time and commitment. Can you not see the great strides Iraq has taken in improving their becoming a strong democracy? Look at all the terrorists being killed each and every day in the streets of Iraq, soon there will no longer be any terrorists and the continued and stepped-up rebuilding efforts will be redoubled, and then I woke up.

It doesn't take character to call Iraq a failure, it takes cowardice. If you compare what has been accomplished in Iraq in 4 years to any other war in our history other than Desert Storm, it's illogical to declare it a failure. The only people that could make such a declaration are those that have no concept of history and are unaware of what is really occurring there.
