the hours im doing.i have around 18 hours unpaid.7 of those being new years days.i have signed a work place agreement..do i have any rightss?how would i chase it up?where do i get information on what my entitlements are and is it too late to get that backpay?am i legally allowed to ask for copies of payslips?i didnt receive one that followed new years..thanks

yes you can legally ask for copies of payslips. they have to give you one. best bet is to write a letter to the person who does the pays, outlining the hours you have worked, and how much you were entitled to that you didnt get. it may have simply been a mistake.

read your workplace agreement carefully as well. you want to make sure exactly what you are entitled to.

it is not too late to get backpay. it was only in january, so there is no problems with that.

Hi.
Firstly I would check your workplace agreement. Did you work New Years Day? If you did, then you are entitled to get paid for it. If you didn't, check out your agreement and see whether you're entitled to get get paid for public holidays. If you're unsure go and see your payroll person and ask them for their assistance. You are legally required to receive pay advice (either in paper or electronic form). It's not too late to get back paid IF you are entitled to be paid for the hours. You should have received a copy of your signed agreement for your keeping - all the information you need should be contained within that agreement.
