The number, also known as your band number, is how many inches around your chest is.

The letter signifies the size of your actual breast - if you put the tape measure around you at the fullest part of your breast. If the difference between this and your band number is one inch, you are a A cup; two inches, a B cup; three inches, C cup; 4 inches, D cup, and then the letters start doubling. Most women average around a B cup, but some women can get up to a DD or even E or F! The "ideal" model size is a 36C.

When you're ready for a bra, have your mom schedule you for a fitting at a local department store. The saleslady will measure you to give you a professional assessment - you'll probably start out with a training bra (has no cup size), and then quickly work your way up as you grow.

Well, the sizes run from AAA (smallest) to DD or E or F (biggest).

The numbers are the measurement of the bust.

The bra size is the measurement of the bust and the measurement of the chest (above the bust).

Bra sizes in adults can vary, but most women are B or C. Rarely are they bigger than D, unless they are extremely overweight.

Hope that helps. :)
