i Am working on searching for a wonderful family but how to choose an agency online is almost impossible. So many I just don't know where to start. I do plan to move if the right family comes along which makes choosing a site right for me even more tricky. any advice!

To find what you truely want, I would creat a free online ad (craigslist) You can include in the ad what you are looking for in a family. You can also post an ad in a city that you would like to relocate to. This way families come to you not the other way around.
If you feel you need an agency, first look for what places are local...You will have to meet with them for LOTS of paperwork and an interview before interviewing a few select families.
Second, call around to the local agencies to find out what their nanny requirements are and if they charge you a fee.
Some places will charge you and others will just charge the family.
If your looking for an out of country postition, check for an "Au Pair" service.
