More than likely it is just the hose. The get wore out or dried out and crack sometimes. That is an easy fix. It could be a seal in the pump itself that needs replaced. If you know about cars or know someone that does see if they will look at it before you go to a mechanic. If it is just the hose doing it yourself would be easy and save you some money.

Depends on where its leaking from. The pump? The power steering hoses? The rack? If its the rack, get ready to spend some cash.
Find the leak first. If you can't tell where its leaking from, then you will have to clean the engine area and rack first, then the leaking fluid will show once it starts.
This will give you a starting point.
Good luck.

Get some upper grade stop leak for power steering and pour it in there...It will expand the seals and probably stop. You may have to do it a few times....but it will work. unless its leaking in the lines and if it is...You may have to change the componet somewhere....With that you might want to take it in. but the stop leak will probably work and save you a ton of money, even though it Might be a short fix....You just have to keep doing it..Whenever you see its leaking or the steering goes bad again. Just keep adding it to it and it will be fine. Doing this often will not hurt your car.

too broad a question. where is it leaking from? if it is the rack and pinion, u may want to just keep adding fluid as it will cost some bucks. check the rubber hoses that attach to the fluid resevoir. in a car that old they may have cracked in whcih case u got an ez fix. depending on the severity of the leak u may want to buy a few bottles of ps fluid and just add it once a week.

Since this is a pretty old car, I suggest you replace all the hoses and the fittings....just to be sure that everything is new. If there is still leaking, check the power steering motor, you might need to replace the bearings and gaskets inside.

It depends on where its leaking from, is it a hose or the steering pump its self. Once you find the source, then fix or replace the part that leaking.

you have to know where it is leaking first before you can suggest a way to fix it.
