I didn't realise how not perfect they were until a couple of years ago....I thought all the stuff at home was normal...it took counselling for me to admit they were not perfect...you never like to think bad of your rents! Now as a parent I try not to make the same mistakes...but I'm sure I make others and so it goes on!

When the Armed Response team raided the house. I was 11 and was home alone with my 14 year old brother who they nearly shot. They searched the house and questioned me. I realised then that my Dad wasn't as perfect as I though, but I still believe in him. He made a mistake and I forgave him.

When my grandparents had to pick me up from the hospital when I was born cause dad went to jail and mom was drunk. She left right after I was born in the elevator. Truth.

age 6 when they split up cos my mum had an affair. my dad is still perfect to me though, he's a nice, kind, caring person and although my mum isnt perfect I love her anyway :-)
