You do realise that Killswitch Engage's frontman is black right? But then again, because it's quite obvious that you talk sh*t about things you know nothing about, I can plainly tell that you don't know much about that band either.

Also, if you knew more about the history of music or Rock (white genre according to you), you'd know that Rock actually came from "blacks".

Do some f*cking research. Rock wouldn't be here if it weren't for black people. Those bands wouldn't exist. Davey, Hunter, Jade and Adam would not look at you twice if they knew about the narrow-minded views that you hold.

I've got a black friend who listens to the same music as I do, punk, metal and hardcore. Noone gives a flying f*ck about ethnicity.

BTW, noone ever believes that line "I'm not a racist but...". You're just in denial because you don't want to feel bad about your comments.

you're such a dumb *****, i'm Mexican and we don't listen to no damn salsa that's latin Americans, but you would know that if your head wasn't up your a s s. Plus i like all kinds of music hip-hop, R&B, punk, alternative, and even some pop. If you were to ask the artist that make this music they would laugh in your face they don't make it specifically for a certain group of people.

oh yeah almost forgot "The Plain White T's" have a drummer who is black, and they're awesome. The world needs less people like you, you and millions of other people are the reason racism still exist today. And don't even try to sound like you're not a racist because you sure as helll sound like one to me.

Ok first when I answered the AFI question, I was like this girl is a lil bit naive. Now I see this. You think that we need to stick to our respective genres....on what basis? Do you even know the history on music and culture?

COLORED???? whoa? You don't use that word. That annoys me. I'm black, white, and native american. I believe it's a privilge to be multi-racial, and I'll be damned if I let someone tell me what to do let alone what kinda music I listen to...especially someone on yahoo answers....pff

Black girls too much drama, nah don't think so.

Didn't you recently post a similar question? Are you trying to get kicked out of YA?
Anyway, I think you need to get help and get out some more. You clearly haven't been to a rock concert to see the variety of people there.
And, you just want to think that black girls are not a threat to you when it comes to Davey and Gerard. I doubt you'll ever even get to meet them, much less date them. There is no need to feel threatened, I doubt they want him.

And you ARE racist. Stick to their respective genres? Even Eminem would punch you in the face for that. So would K-Fed. Music has no colour.

I see your point. your parents really should never let you out of the basement let alone touch a computer. Basement retarded people need to stay in basements. I mean it's too pretty to not be a joke you say you're not racist right after making overtly racist comments. You used the word colored which is blatantly racist. Personally, i don't think anybody should listen to any of those bands you named because they suck. You're dumb.

Dude. Sorry but that attitude is pretty racist. Who cares what color we were born, we like what we like... we ought to be able to fit into whatever music culture we choose!

My Indian boyfriend likes rap and hip hop, my mexican friend likes hard rock, metal and jazz(who knew), and my best friend, native american, likes rock, rap, pop and electronic.

Just different cultures lean toward liking particlar music styles doesn't mean your race dictates what you shoudl listen to.

--Oh and you think they woudln't jump at the chance to date say, Halle Berry? Maybe they woudlnt date a hip-hop chick, but there's a whole lot of stereotyping going on in your q.

Are you freaking kidding me?
The kind of music you like has nothing to do with the color of your skin!!!!!
Ok, so If i said that you couldn't like babydoll shirts because your white, would that be racist? If I said that asians couldn't enjoy eating a hamburger, would that be racist? What if I said mexicans didn't have the capacity to enjoy modern art? Would it be racist to say you couldn't be a vegetarian and black? Hell, yeah. They're all racist comments... and saying that because your skin is of a different hue than the majority of the people who like that kind of music's is, you cant like that kind of stuff, thats racist too.
Music preferences have absolutely nothing to do with heredity... but rather the kind of environment in which you are raised, the kind of stories you are sympathetic with, the kind of culture you learned about, the things that feel familliar.
Listen... When I was little, I listened to alternative, hip hop, rap, and jazz on the radio, with my friends, and online. My family members did not, but I did. I grew up playing the violin, and I have grown to love classical music too. I continue, to this day, to praise all of those genres... Its what we do, not what people of our race do, but we do, that makes us like what we like.

nope, and I can't say I'm sorry that I don't agree. Your views are very much racist even though your in denial. Its like your trying to put people in to groups and say that they should only listen to a certain type of music because of the color of there skin, you are demeaning there individualism.
