if i ovulate on about 20 days instead of 14 and now my period is 7 days late and i have neg results on hpts can this be why?

Could definitely be it. HPT results are also affected by when the baby implants. HCG, to my knowledge, is only produced by the fertilized egg after it implants. If you ovulated late and the egg implanted in the later range of normal (6-10 DPO, I think), that could be throwing off the results.

Are you taking your temperature? Sustained high temps for 18 DPO is almost always pregnancy. Good luck.

if you ovulated six days after add those six days to the normal period cycle is. if you normally cycle is 30 days then add 6 days to that. wait a few days if it has not come by then test again. good luck

If you ovualte later than it would tkae longer for the HCG to build up in your system. I would get a blood test to know for sure or just wait it out. Good Luck

you can ovulate anytime between periods. wait a few more days then retest.
