Do you not care about that eitherways, or is it something that you really value. Your thoughts?

I would rather a girl take my last name. I wouldn't want to take her last name thats for sure. But if she really didn't want it, I wouldn't force her.

I argued with my husband about that for a long time before we got married. I saw no reason to change my name since he didn't need to, and I liked my name. But he said that if I didn't take his name it'd be like I was rejecting him and his family. It was very important to him that I took his last name.

(We ended up compromising and hyphenating our last names. We both have the same last name now.)

I am proud of the fact that my wife has taken my name, and hope she uses it with care and love, for my children also have my name.

My husband and I already had the same last name, so I didn't have to change anything - and NO, we are not related!

I did not care...it was actually my Father-in-law who INSISTED that his daughter take my name.

i think its more of a symbol than anything special...its more like oh look they are joined as one...sort of thing...
