sorry for adding: what i meant is, he might be the target--- quite high %---for his identity, which could lead to his team's harm.

Yes, he should go to war. Why? Because he wants to, he's trained for it, and his country is involved in the war.

Sure, there's a risk. But politically its a great thing for him and the royal family. It shows they are doing the same things as commoners and taking the same risks. Harry will be far cooler and have a far better image for doing it.

To stay credible, the British royal family needs to do things that separate themselves from Hollywood type celebs. If they do nothing but cut ribbons and look pretty, then they will be come completely irrelevant - and they're fairly irrelevant as it is. But if they continue to take a role in issues facing the country, take a few risks, stay involved in religion, then they will always have a place in British society.

I do not think he should go to Iraq.

1. He will be a target for the insurgents.
2. He is in line for the throne, and that should be safe-guarded.
3. He could be endangering other soldiers who serve with him, because he will be much sought after by the insurgents.

This is different than Prince Andrew flying in the Falklands. This is a different kind of war and Prince Harry is endangering others serving with him. I have an uneasy feeling about this whole matter. If Prince Harry goes to Iraq - he might not being come home because you know those insurgents are going to do their best to hunt him down and kill him or even worse, behead him on video tape. Why would the Royal Family allow him to go? I just do not like it all.

I dmire Harry for wanting to carry out his duties fully as a solder and that means for his regiment being deployed in Iraq to serve his term of duty abroad.

Yes obviously as second in the line to the throne those serving with him will be effected as it would be stupid to think that Harry is not going to get extra protection whilst serving with his regiment in Iraq.

How dare you say such a thing Trinity

British troups were not asked to be deployed in Iraq ifyou want to blame anyone You know when to look the Blair Bush Project.

Yes he is a soldier and thats what they do, I agree. However, a british prince will be prime target, it immediately puts the people around him at immense risk, including the sons that are talked about here. Looking at the bigger picture, if he was captured and publicly killed on tv - a world war would be launched - then more of our sons / daughters would be at risk

Price Harry is a brave, if somewhat dimwitted young man, a hero's death in Iraq would be the perfect solution to get him into the history books.

I beleive if he goes there their government can underestand the war is really bad and killing other soldiors has some bad effect on families lives, so they have to go out of Iraq, why do only Iraqian people have to be killed everyday?

Yes....and be shot!!!!!!!!!!..it probably wouldn't come close to the pain the British are inflicting upon the people of that country. The best way to understand other peoples pain is to live in their shoes for a while. Hopefully it's an AK-47.

I think he should be allowed to make the same life choices that anyone else can make, he is a person like everyone else after all. If that's what he wants to do, he should have the opportunity. Good for him.
