Why is it so hard to take the high road and be civil?

Question

I really want to scream and get angry and hope it feels better. But why is it so tough to be the one with class and common sense when you really want to act like your crazy?
Who else wants to take the low road and why? I want toknow what you are going through and if anyone else feels like me.

I was treated like crap all my life by my older siblings. I would be civil back to them, I would try to talk to them about it but no matter what I did, everything was my fault and nothing ever changed. I had to give it to the Lord because I was in an impossible situation. They were my family and to top it off, after we all married we lived in the same house, too! It takes time but God acts when you step back and take the low road as you say. If you explode, you are just giving your enemy fuel to use against you. Trust me, God dealt with them much harsher than I ever dreamed He would.

Yes i do. in fact now and then i do get so i can't keep my mouth shut i have a x daughterinlaw who is horrible all she wants to do is mess everyone up including her daughter she doens't care for she just wants to make everyone upset and it shows what she is doing and today i did let her have it shes mean and ugly a stripper what more can i say?

it's too hard to do the right thing. we are prideful and always have the desire to show the other person up. basically, we don't know better...
