If a disabled person (in a wheelchair) applies for a job in a place, where there are no toilet facilities to cater for their needs, that person is turned down despite being capable and qualified to do the job, what can they do and what could happen to the person (employer) who has turned them down?

There are rules and regulations in place which mean a disabled person should not be barred from working.
If the employer has no facilities then they could face a hefty fine.
All well and good, but us disabled always get the sharp end! lol

its law that everyone should cater for people with special needs so if the employer hasnt then you should take the matter further it doesnt mean that you will be sueing them as it will be a long way of before it comes to that.
as you need proof thats why the disabled person got turned down and there is no way of proving that
unless you have got proof

In the US, the handicapped person would have a valid discrimination claim. The employer could either be made to pay damages or to make adequate facilities available.

Everyone is out to sue, huh? Why not do the noble thing and tell that employer about your fuss and give them ample time to remedy the situation before snitching on them? Is it because you won't get money for doing so? Pathetic!
