Why do people here ask so many questions like this?

And why is it that when you ask Americans why they are so stupid or Republicans why they all have lobotomies or Democrats why they are all godless Commies, you then go and give Best Answer not to an American/Republican/Democrat who answered your question but to someone who just says 'yeah you're right that group you mentioned are so stupid/evil'.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but YA is for people who have questions to ask and answers to give. Why don't you take your polemic elsewhere?*

*That was a real question. I am genuinely interested in the answers.

I used the liberal thing as an EXAMPLE. Christ sake, why are people suddenly talking about politics?

1) I'm not a liberal.
2) I'm not an American.

If you want to just insult me for asking a reasonable question or start talking culture and partisan politics for some inexplicable reason, please DON'T post. I'm asking a question about the posters here, not about wether liberals actually worship Satan.

satan...mohamedd...its all the same to me........america was founded on anglo-protestant values..and it needs to stay that way..the rest of you that dont believe in this ethic can just go to your country of choice that you agree with politically and religiously and philosophically....as far as i am concerned, all americans should be working towards making america great, not giving our wealth to people who dont agree with our way of life...im not saying we should be at war with them, but we should be on a stance that says what we do is to benefit america..and if that benefits you at the same time, then we might have a deal....if it doesnt benefit america, we should either deny it, or watch it closely so it doesnt eventually hurt us or our citizens...

sorry to say that the answers program has all of the same problems that the old message boards had - namely that they are populated by people who have no intention of ever trying to have a discussion about anything.

as with the message boards, people post questions just the one you got my attention with, just so that the question will appear.

tools on both sides, but more the right than the left, actually think that if a bunch of critical questions appear that people will think that things are swinging bush's way.

i thought that the answers program might be able to put a stop to this, but they don't.

it's just the message boards all over again...

I completely agree. Y! Answers is to be informative. Not bash other people, their beliefs, their race, their sex, or sexuality. The ignorance will not leave. Too many people are ignorant and don't care. I just ignore those questions and focus on ones where I can help someone or get an answer to something I need help with.

I think they answers that you are referring to show off the fact that many in America today have been indoctrinated to follow the party line without thought to their own tenets and beliefs. While I find this disturbing, I am just as alarmed by the ignorance displayed by these same people. There is no one correct answer, and no matter what your personal beliefs are, you need to respect others opinions.

Agree--wasting time posting rhetoric and stating factless points is quite a nuisance. But then some folks are too ignorant of the facts, to post any decent commentary so they think they can raise some eyebrows by doing a little bashing. no biggie
You give and you shall receive.

Who made you judge over what questions should be asked and which ones shouldn't. Maybe you dont know this, but the 1st Amendment gives U.S. citizens to express themselves however they may wish. So if I say that Democrats are all godless Commies, (true by the way), then so be it. You have no right to try and shut me up.

well, something you have to remember... it's not just Americans that use YA. People from all over the globe do. but, you are correct, this should be a serious forum to ask serious questions and give serious answers. you can still be humorous and get your point across. some people just take it too far. some people are just idiots. and not just Americans. but, this is a free country. we can say whatever and do whatever as long as it doesn't infringe on someone else's rights.

You mean the way you worship Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'reilly, George W. Bush, Dicky Cheney?

I generally don't worship anything, but if I did it might be Satan because he doesn't stick the collection plate in my face when I walk through the door of the church AND if Satan is gay he wont lie about it like all of the conservative christian preachers do.

some here just feel the need to insult others,it adds nothing positive here. it would be nice to have more intelligent questions/answers here.

edit. freedom of expression/speech does not apply here. yahoo is a private company with no obligation to even let you use their site. it is not a right to post hate/insults here
