Jonathan,
I know that this is a really hard time for you. Please talk to your school counselor. Explain what is going on with your Mom. Then talk to your pastor, or priest... Sometimes just being able to share your troubles with someone helps.
THEN.... do your schoolwork.. that way when you go and visit your Mom you can show her what you've been doing in school and have good visits with her. She'll know that you are dealing with this as best you can and it will give her some relief.
Pray for strength.. I think all of us that has answered you are praying for you and your Mom. You get busy and hold up your end of things. You are already worried about your Mom, you don't need the added worry, and, it sounds like guilt about school, too.
Take Care

omg!
poor you =(
im soo sorry to hear about your mom
find and talk to the school guidance counselor
and definitely tell your teachers what's going on so they understand what's going on so they give you a lil break
maybe you could find a pastor to confide in if you're the christian kind of person
sleeping pills won't benefit you
trust me... not that easy to get up in the morning and the side effects aren't that great... plus you may end up with an addiction
i'm 14 and i was going through stomach problems that i was worried about for a long time and i still am. i thought it was stomach cancer but it's not. while i was worrying i cried it out and i talked to a councelor which really helped and i found the help of family members around me. now how to sleep you ask? ok like i said no sleeping pills.. they do not benefit you in the long run. how about music played really low? you could concentrate on the lyrics until you go to sleep. oh and warm milk also helps soothe you. another great one is chocolate covered bananas.. no joke. they actually soothe you better than warm milk and calm you down.
i hope this helps and you get some sleep.
good luck and sorry to hear about your mother =(
peace out and god bless you dude

Hi Jonathon W, I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I as well as the other readers are happy that you wrote to us. I hope and pray that you do not find any crazy persons here. Most of us though are okay. But be careful and think computer safety. Do not give personal information okay? Now we will pray for you and your mom, I know that you are very worried dude but you must be strong for your mom. I also know that is hard to concentrate in your homework. What are you having trouble with.? maybe we can help you with your homework or school work, all you have to do is post it here and maybe we can help you somehow. I am very sorry. I am sure that if you speak with your school principal or counselor they will help you. If you go to a church the pastor might be able to help you. But I do promise you one thing, myself as well as other yahoo readers will keep you in our prayers. We are always here for you. God bless you dude.

Jonathon,
Please find a local Christian youth pastor to confide in. He can help you come to terms with the things that are weighing heavy on your mind.
It is great that you realize that you can use some help and that things are getting a little out of control at school. It's amazing how just getting enough rest can improve your outlook on life.
You and your Mum are in my prayers!

Talk to someone in your family you trust. Once you get it all out in the open, you should feel better. It's much better to have someone by your side than to be alone at a time like this. I know how you feel. Anger, hate, sadness, helplessness, hopeless, scared. At your age it's all normal. Hang in there. It'll get better but you really need to talk to some one. Hope this helps.

You need to look at everything you just asked. You are aware of some problems you are having in school. Talk to your teachers and let them know what's going on. Your school counsler is there for you. As far as your sleeping goes give yourself time to sink in on what's going on with your mom. Be there for your mom and that itself will make you feel better.

you need to talk to a close friend. and if they don't help then you need to talk to the school counselor. it is embarrassing to go to a school counselor but it is for your own good. if you keep going on like this then you could end up getting depressed.
