What on earth would happen if he was killed in a "blue on blue", incident? e.g. An American F15 fighter jet shoots the vehicle he's in.

Prince Harry is doing nothing else than any other British chap or chapelle who is in the Forces would do. Prince Andrew flew combat missions in the Falklands war.

War is war. If Harry is taken out by blue on blue, then there wil be no more repercussions than if it were any other British combatant.

Apart from the Guardian left-wing precious set, and the tabloid shitemongers, us Britons simply salute the brave - prince or otherwise.

Your question begs for the simple and odvious answer....... he will unfortuneately die.
However, I wonder why the question is not made a bit more broad than this. here is the reality of war.

In the scenario that you have given, there is a human tragedy as there will have been in every similar situation of soldiers who have gone before. A young life is wasted. A family is hurting, etc. Whilst at the same time, another young life is ruined in the realisation that he is responsible for anothers death. He will feel the pain of guilt and anquish, etc. Whether it is blue or red blood, that side of the story is always full of what ifs.......

He will be a target for all and sundry. And a lot of guys will have to put their necks on the line for him.
The best thing would be for him not to go. And for the M.O.D to give our guys the equipment to carrry out their jobs.

In the Falklands War, the Argentinians targeted ships that may have had Prince Andrew on! Nice headline if they had got him?

Oh please don't get me started on this subject.

Adam above has more respect for him now?? Perhaps he missed the part that said the SAS will be keeping "an eye" on him.
So do they keep an eye on all soldiers, and would they not be better served doing their real jobs instead of babysitting a prince for a PR stunt.

The Americans would cover it up like they do with anything they don't like.

Personally I'd laugh-I hate the royals.

Who knows, I would not like to that pilot though!

I think its admirable that he's volunteering to go into such an unpopular war. I have a lot of respect for him now.
