What do you think of buying an already used mattress? I hate the idea myself... I don't like the thought of sleeping on a stranger's bed... I think I have a germ phobia.. Can anyone talk me into this cause they are WAY cheaper than buying a brand new mattress.... but they're...USED?? help me :(

Don't do it unless you know the owner or see the house it was used in. Example: I purchased one from an old lady. It was in her spare bedroom. It was a clean house and I don't think it was ever slept on. Reason; She was moving into a small apt.

VERY prudent . . as compared to going in debt. Just think of all the "high end" hotel guest that are paying hundreds of dollars a night to sleep on a used mattress!

I dont think that i'd be able to sleep on a used mattress
i'd rather shell out for a new one
