The remaining Stuarts are in exile in France and Switzerland, you could in theory track down the line. Or you could reassemble the Scottish noblemen and vote on a new King (Please give my family you're vote, we used to own the lowlands around Aberdeen.)

Or...you could become a republic like Ireland.

The Queen is Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The last queen of England was Elizabeth the First . A Stuart could never be crowned as the monarch as they were Roman Catholic.

Why does Scotalnd want independence. What's wrong with being a part of the United Kingdom. What is wrong with the current Queen anyway? I believe that the divine rights of Kings (or Queens) I don't even know if there are any stuarts still alive. I hope they keep the current royal family. If anyone disagrees with this or if it offends you, I'm sorry, but I'm allowed to have an opinion.

I heard somewhere that the rightful heir to the Scottish throne is the Prince of Liechtenstein, a tiny country sandwiched between Austria & Switzerland. I don't see Scotland ever re-establishing the monarchy though, more likely vote for a President.I long for the day the Republic of Scotland is born.

There aren't any Stuarts, they died out. And Salmond's a republican.
Franz Bonaventura Adalbert Maria Herzog von Bayern (born July 14, 1933), styled as His Royal Highness The Duke of Bavaria, is the current heir-general of Charles I of England, of the House of Stuart, and thus is considered by Jacobites to be the current rightful ruler of Great Britain, though he himself does not claim these titles.
Some consider his title barred as there is an uncle-niece marriage in the line.

Stuart is derived from Steward. Why have a steward as your King? Why would you want a King in any case? What is wrong with you? King's are violent despots not something to be revered. They rank higher than Hitler in the crimes against humanity class.
