You do realize that the problems Dan Rather had with this story was not that is was not true - but it just was not verified!

Which is a huge difference.

And if you think Bush didn't desert - you are either uninformed or misinformed!

Perhaps you should do your own research on this subject!

why did he not show up for his physical, and didn't show up for his training exercises. Remember he was with the Champagain Unit, the rich of the richest, and they worked when they felt like, and he stated that he was influncing someones political career, I guess that was more important than defending the country, and isn't it just amazing how his military records got smeared in real mud so that they were unreadable, but the one good thing is that there is another copy somewhere out there, and maybe someone will get their hands on it and make it public information. Wouldn't that be great. They should look into the Vice Presidents defferals too.

Do some research yourself Paul B and take off the tin-foil hat. All you have to do is go to USA TODAY.COM and look at the April 2004 edition. The White House released President Bush's military record. It all there, he did serve in 1972 and 1973. He did extra drills some months which allowed him to miss other drills with his Commander's permission.....it happens all the time, I'm in the reserves and sometimes I do the same thing.
Also included was his written request for a discharge dated May 1973 so he could attend college and was approved by his Commanding Officer since the Vietnam War was winding down at that time.
So the real question here, why don't they shoot you for being a loud mouthed ignorant buffoon?

The letter Dan Rather used was discredited but the information was correct. Bush's daddy got him into the champagne group of the TANG and he didn't show up for most of his duty. After they changed the rules about getting drug screens, he never flew again.

Bush is a rich man's son who got away with desertion and drug use because of his daddy's power and money. I wish he had been punished in some way but money trumps anything every time.

My town of Marshall, Michigan voted for G. W. Bush because his grandfather and great grandfather laundered $50 million dollars to Hitler before and during WW2. Prescott Bush invested in Hitlers weapons manufacturers for a hefty profit that they used to buy their way into politics and which we are all goosestepping now.
Funny they don't mention this on Fox.

Don't mention their president I mentioned him once and I think I got away with it.

He just suffers from excessive sunburn because the skin on his neck area is very sensitive ;)

A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat.

Even a drug conviction and ongoing alcoholism didn't deter the ones who vote their pocketbook! You don't think that a deserter matters to a neocon! Hell, the governor of California is a deserter from the Army of his country, and still is!

Someone should shoot you for being a liberal imbecile. You are a prime example when Bush talks about "No Child Left Behind".

Your answer: I don't know.

Yeah, he should have done what Clinton did: Evade the draft, then go to Moscow and denounce the USA on a street corner in Red Square.

It looks like most people here are capable of obtaining the truth. You seem to be spreading the lies that have already been addressed and disproved. Why don't people use facts if they are really trying to help the country?

Are you still trying to sell that rumor that has been thoroughly discredited? Even though one of you best propagandists lost his job and his status over it.

Liberals become more pathetic as the days go on.
