1. The Persian wars started when the Persian empire decided to attack Greece and spread the empire to Europe. The Greek city states although greatly outnumbered managed to defend and beat the Persians keeping Greece and the rest of Europe safe.
2. Greek mythology is famous all over the world. It was developed by the Greeks in order to explain situations that could not be explained by the means of that time. In Greek mythology the gods play the significant role and manage and affect the lives of humans. In many occasions mythology was inspired by true historical facts and people.
3. All city states believed that learning is important but what was variant was the knowledge. Sparta focused on learning discipline ,fighting,and strict lifestyle.Athens believed in learning art and science. In both occasions learning and growing up with these ideas was important.
4. Alexander the Great from the Macedonian kingdom of Greece managed to unite all Greek city states and start his campaign in order to free the Greek cities of Asia Minor first and conquer the whole of the Persian empire after that. This way he punished the Persians for the Persian wars and spread Greek culture and Greek ideas to almost all of the known world. Alexander did not make distinctions between Greeks and ''barbarians'' considering all to be equal , all being people of his international empire. He is still considered today the greatest leader of Greece and one of the most important personalities of all times in all of the world.
