People say that I have an exotic . I am a latina tall, tanned with big brown eyes an I always get compliments. People are always more willing to help me an treat me with respect an admire me . Me and my friend went to get an interview for the same job an even though she had a lot more experience than I do I got the job, it always been easy for me to get jobs.So I think that it does get you ahead

I agree...in different cases sometimes, but still very true! I was always about 20 lbs overweight, my whole life! Not 'fat', but stalky, muscular looking. In my late twenties I lost weight and instantly everything changed. Especially from men, sorry to say! I make friends easily, people are looking at me steady..not that Im some great beauty, but I'm tall and fairly lean, and most people don't look like that.
Maybe we just carry ourselves differently, or we're nicer because of the way we look, which could make all the difference!

Yes, sometimes appearance does get you far (in small and insignifigant things)
Intelligence is what will get you the furthest.
