Me and my fiance have been trying to have a baby for about 3 months now. We tried numerous times in january and i still got my period, but i haven't had it this month. I also heard that you can still have your period while you are pregnant, is that true? Could I be pregnant and not know it?

Yes, you could be pregnant -- if you're sexually active there's certainly a chance.

No, a woman cannot get her period while she's pregnant. However, a woman CAN bleed during pregnancy; sometimes that happens around the time of an expected period. Some women will swear they had their period throughout pregnancy, but they're wrong. They may have bled, but they did not have a period, as a menstrual period is, *by definition*, the shedding of the uterine lining in the absence of a pregnancy. Call it a question of semantics if you want, that's fine, but the bottom line is you can bleed but it ain't a period.

Do you know when your period is/was due? Do you have any idea when you ovulated? If you're trying to get pregnant, do yourself a favor and learn to read your body's fertility signs. All the sex in the world is useless if it doesn't coincide with ovulation.

If you are pregnant: congratulations. If you're not pregnant, I highly recommend you take a look at the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler. It will explain all you need to know about determining when you're at your most fertile to maximize your chances of conception.

You should start by taking a pregnancy test or go to your doctors to find out! Yes it is possible to have your period while you are pregnant. Some women have had there period through out there whole pregnancy but its not likely. Your regular menstrual period usually comes about 14 days after ovulation because you are not pregnant. Women with regular menstrual periods are unlikely to be pregnant, especially if home pregnancy tests are repeatedly negative. Some pregnant women report that they have vaginal bleeding early on in pregnancy. But this bleeding is usually not like a regular period, it's usually much lighter and irregular, more like spotting. If you are in doubt, do a pregnancy test. It should be positive if you are pregnant.

Ive meet so many women have had healthy pregnancy's and still had there period until they were about, 4 -6months pregnant, Every Woman is different. but To your question, You can be pregnant, without knowing so. but if you havnt gotten your period yet, wait a lil while, and maybe take a pregnancy test or have a blood test done. I wish you luck.

You can't have your period while you are pregnant, but it's possible you could have spotting. If you haven't had your period this month, take a pregnancy test, that's the fastest way to find out and if you are, make an appointment to see your OBGYN.

You could, and women can get their period, even though they wouldn't be releasing an egg. Do you have any other symptoms? I know women that have wanted a baby so bad that they practically forced their bodies to "think" they are pregnant, just because they hoped it would be. So, relax, take a First Response and know that if it is negative the first time, you can take it in a few days. I got a negative my first test, so just keep trying!! Good luck!

It's very rare but yes you can still have a period. I'm not sure if it could be a full blown period. Take a test . Nobody here would be able to answer that.
