Why is Flash Player doing this?

I go to a site and it tells me I need to update Flash Player. I do this and the animation pops up on Adobe.com and says it was installed but no security window comes up like it says it will. But it says it is installed so I go back to the site and it still will not work.

I used the uninstaller from their website at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

You should then be able to install Adobe Flash Player 9
