Yes! It sounds very cute, and the black with polka dots is a very classy look that's also vintage, so that's twice as good, right?
Also, red pumps would look awesome to complete the look. And if you were concerned about being too casual, jazz it up with some great vintage jewlery. H&M, Forever 21 and even JC Penney has great, inexpensive fashion jewlery for these kinds of occasions.

oh definitaly! i love polka dots! i just bought some red polka dot flats AND a pair of heels! they're so cute. but ya, that sounds appropriate!
