I would try taking the battery out, plugging it in with just AC power.

Then turn it off, take it off ac power. Plug the battery back in and see if you can power it on with just the battery. If you can then plug the AC back in and it should work.

If not, you will probably need a new battery. Take the existing one to a place that tests batteries to make sure.

Chances are is that your battery has finally died on you. Most notebook batteries have a life expectancy of about a year or 500 charging cycles, whichever one comes first. My suggestion would be to try another battery and see if the same thing happens. If so, then you may have a deeper problem, like the voltage regulator module(VRM) on the system board which would more than likely mean that you'll etiher have to contact the manufacturer of the notebook (laptop) as far as warranty and technical support.

does it run on ac means. if it runs on ac means you maximum in all risk have a bad spot on mobo the place the battery connects, many times a resistor. that must be a severe priced restore via fact that finished board might choose examined for continuity to discover undesirable digital. (ie- resistor, capacitor, or transistor) if it would not run on ac means then the means plug on laptop is probable undesirable. it has a connector that connects to the battery, to the floor and to the mobo. that should basically require resoldering (whether it rather is a toshiba sattellite laptop, i assume that's the 2d, it rather is a time-commemorated fault with some sequence. yet only so which you understand, any and all must be via fact of a bad mobo or a bad "rail" in battery. to aim undesirable "rail" positioned different laptop battery in yours to work out if it will make yours run. i might additionally drain the battery to 0.5 in different style and place returned into yours for an hour on a similar time as on ac (cpu off), then place returned into different to work out whether it rather is returned to finished means. on no account have faith an op structures battery examining, if its a bad "rail" it basically reads from that factor to the full fee factor imparting you with a pretend examining.
