my grand daughter was born yesterday. she doesnt move her right arm. the doctor says its a shocked nerve and needs therapy. does anyone how if this will get better. is it common in newborns. he said it happened during delivery.

Congrats on your new grand daughter!
The therapy will greatly improve the mobility of the arm, it will get better don't worry. She should soon have full movement of the arm with regular therapy. It can happen if the arm twists around during delivery.

Don't panic - this should be fine. There are therapists who specialize in this kind of thing.
