Are you charting? 18+ days of high temp after ovulation would be a sure indication of pregnancy.
But since you haven't indicated that you are charting and therefore you wouldn't know about your temps.... why are you still waiting after a week??? The suspense would be killing me!!!
Go to the doc's and get a blood test done - No harm done!!! It should be back the same day if you get it done early enough at the latest the next day!!! If you are still early, maybe your body isn't just producing enough of the hormorne needed to be picked up in the hpt.
Best of luck to you and handfuls of {{{baby dust}}}} your way.
Let us know how it all turns out for you, I'll keep you on my watch list!!

I'm in the same boat i just want to know. try testing again in a few days as pregnancy hormones are very low in the early days. if you have recently come off the pill this can upset your regular cycle and cause a late period. if you get another neg test you need to get a blood test done any way if you are pregnant you will need a regular doc so why not start now and if you are trying for a baby the doc can advise when is best to conceive. only a blood test will confirm. hope this helps!

My period is always predictable to the day. Well, this last cycle it was almost 3 weeks late. My doctor said it was probably anxiety. Not so much stress, but I have been very anxiously awaiting something, and that could have been the cause. Although, when I got pregnant with my daughter, I didn't test until about 2 weeks after my missed period, and the test line was so faint I could barely see it. So, you could very well be one of those people that has to wait that long to see a positive. The important thing to remember is to not worry. Either way, pregnant or not, the stress and/or anxiety this is causing you will not be beneficial to anyone.

Wait another week or so. False negatives do happen with HPTests early on.

And you should have a regular doctor, especially if you are actively trying to have a baby. And, in addition, if you are trying to get pregnant, you really should purchase some form of health insurance now (before you are pregnant)--just in case you don't have it already.

http://womenshealth.gov/faq/pregtest.htm

"Pregnancy tests look for a special hormone in the urine or blood that is only there when a woman is pregnant. This hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), can also be called the pregnancy hormone."

"These days, most women first use home pregnancy tests (HPT) to find out if they are pregnant. HPTs are inexpensive, private, and easy to use. Urine tests will be able to tell if you're pregnant about 2 weeks after ovulation. Some more sensitive urine tests claim that they can tell if you are pregnant as early as one day after a missed period.

If a HPT says you are pregnant, you should call your doctor right away. You doctor can use a more sensitive test along with a pelvic exam to tell for sure if you're pregnant. Seeing your doctor early on in your pregnancy will help you and your baby stay healthy."

I think every woman at one time or another has been a week late. The more you think about it the more stress you put yourself under and if you are trying to get pregnant you should be trying to relax. Don't take anymore test this week. Wait another week and if you still don't have your period take another test if it comes out negative then you should see a doctor. If you can't afford it you could go to a family planning clinic. You may or may not have a medical problem and would definitely need to see a professional.

I would wait for another week and test again. If it's still negative and you don't have your period, you may want to head to the doctor for a blood test. The results are usually back at the office within 24 hours, so it doesn't take long! Good luck hun! I wish you the best!

you could be stressed which will cause your period to be late but you should find an ob/gyn in your area and have some tests done to make sure you are fertile and able to conceive. or even a regular doc, you need to have some kind of medical person to talk to so you can get accurate answers.
