When he tries to help people he gives them common advice, not really helping. When they leave the his building they will probaby go back to being their own troubled selves.
a. He helps-
Yeah sometimes he actually does help, but only when he gives the subject something besides advice, like a new house, or rehab. But it doesn't occur often.
