The raptors just traded Fred Jones for Portland's Juan Dixon. Which of the two teams got the better?

they are the same type of players, check their stats - same PPG

the raptors want to be the suns of the east.
For that to happen they need alot of spot up shooters. Fred Jones is a decent shooter but he can't just hang at the 3 point line and start chucking.

He's a great slasher even tho a little small for a shooting guard.

So juan dixon fills that role, he can straight fill up the basket if given the opportunity, and he can quickly get rid of the ball instead of dribbling and trying to create.

And the trailblazers gained a slasher who could create on his own. On a team that doesn't have many creators (roy/randolph) every single person is helpful.

Both seems gained in this considering neither guys were playing. But i think Juan dixon will get more playing time in Toronto than Jones will get in Portland.

the raptors because dixon has better stats than jones and hes just a better all around player
