I recently miscarried and I am still bleeding from that miscarriage. I was wondering if any of you knew if you can get pregnant between the miscarriage and your next period. I was not going to start trying until my next period anyway, but I was wanting to know if we needed to use protection because my doctor says that I should wait until I have one menstrual cycle. What do you think?

Yes..you will ovulate before you get a period.Your body needs a few cycles to heal so I would wait atleast a cycle or two. Most women are highly fertile following miscarriage so I would use a barrier method of bc until you have a period..your uterine lining may not be sufficient to support another pregnancy and your hormone levels maybe a little off.Sorry for your loss and hope all is well with the next.

First of al let me say that I am so sorry for your loss. I know hoe difficult it can be to go through that. Often times the doc will tell you how long to wait until you try to conceive again but i think it is really a personal preference. However, you are very fertile after having a miscarriage just as you would be after giving birth. If you are looking to wait until next month to start trying again i would take precautions because i do know people who have gotten pregnant in the intrum. Good Luck!
